Excel Health is the only solutions provider to deliver utilization data, refreshed quarterly with approximately one quarter lag, giving customers first-mover opportunities to identify physician-facility affiliations and dramatically enhancing visit productivity. Unlike other market intelligence providers who deliver solely Medicare Part A institutional data, which represents only one-fourth of post-acute claims, Excel Health delivers 100 percent of all Medicare Part A and B data, including outpatient and physician services, preventative care, labs, mental and home health services and more through easy to use productivity software solutions.
“In today’s value-based care economy, it is imperative for post-acute providers to be prepared with quantifiable data that demonstrates their advantage and assures referral sources that their patients will be cared for properly,” explained Ian Juliano, CEO of Excel Health. “By equipping our customers, who include four out of the top 10 largest home health and hospice agencies, with software solutions that generate pre-call planning guides and automate referral targeting and call planning workflows, Excel Health is helping to create high-performing, post-acute care networks.”
Excel Health is consistently innovating and releasing new features and reports. The most recent enhancement to Excel Health’s workflow solution is the Total Cost of Care Report. Users can compare agencies by the average Medicare spend for patients in the six months or year following a home health admission. Lower average overall costs indicate that an agency’s service is bending the cost curve for patients. Using this information, providers can promote their impact on the cost of care for a patient population and position themselves as a compelling partner for health systems that are focused on reducing overall costs.
In the coming weeks, Excel Health will be releasing its quarterly Home Health and Hospice Industry Trend Report. This summary report, available free for all post-acute care providers, includes national and by-state growth trends for Medicare beneficiaries, admissions, utilization and more.
