About Scott Tapp
Scott Tapp is President and CEO of Trella Health, where he is leading the company’s mission to help healthcare organizations operate with greater intelligence, efficiency, and patient impact through the convergence of data, workflow, and artificial intelligence.
Since joining Trella in 2020, Scott has led the company through significant growth, strategic acquisitions, product expansion, and the development of an award-winning culture, helping position Trella as a trusted partner to healthcare organizations across the care continuum.
Scott believes healthcare is entering one of the most significant periods of transformation in its history. As reimbursement models continue shifting toward value-based care, providers face increasing pressure to improve outcomes, reduce costs, strengthen patient experiences, and operate with greater efficiency. He sees an opportunity to fundamentally reimagine how healthcare organizations coordinate care, engage referral partners, and optimize performance through connected intelligence and predictive insights.
Under Scott’s leadership, Trella has evolved from a market-leading analytics platform into a comprehensive intelligence and workflow company serving providers across the post-acute, acute, and broader care continuum. His vision is to help healthcare organizations move from fragmented data and disconnected workflows toward a more intelligent, connected, and proactive approach to care delivery.
Scott is particularly focused on the role artificial intelligence will play in healthcare’s future. He believes AI has the potential to reduce administrative burden, unlock new levels of productivity, surface actionable insights at the point of decision-making, and accelerate innovation across the industry. Across Trella, he encourages teams to challenge assumptions, rethink traditional processes, and explore how emerging technologies can create measurable value for customers and the patients they serve.
The company’s mission became deeply personal for Scott following his father’s recovery from open-heart surgery. While the procedure itself was successful, gaps in post-acute coordination led to multiple avoidable emergency department visits and hospital readmissions. The experience reinforced his belief that better care transitions, stronger coordination, and more connected healthcare systems can have a meaningful impact on patients and families.
Scott’s goal is for Trella Health to create lasting impact—not only through innovative products, but through a high-performance culture rooted in curiosity, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer success. He believes culture is a strategic advantage and that exceptional organizations are built by aligning talented people around a clear mission, empowering them to grow, and creating an environment where they can reach their full potential. Under his leadership, Trella has won numerous awards tied to its culture and workplace excellence, reflecting his belief that enduring companies are built by investing in both people and performance and a conviction that vulnerability is a strength.
Prior to joining Trella, Scott spent more than two decades building and scaling technology companies and began his career in investment banking and venture capital. Through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, he has helped scale multiple technology businesses to more than $500 million in revenue and billion-dollar enterprise values.
A U.S. Navy veteran and graduate of the University of Georgia, Scott is passionate about leadership, innovation, and lifelong learning. Outside of work, he enjoys creating memories with family and friends, spending time sailing, kitesurfing, fishing, and exploring emerging technologies. He is an Ironman athlete, patent holder, and lifelong student of leadership, technology, science, and history.
